    What Is Hydro Power Plant?

    hydro power plant 1

Hydro power plant, also called hydropower plant, water power plant is a plant which generate hydroelectricity via water. Generating power from water is cheap also environmental form of energy.

    hydro power plant

The basic process is that when the water flows up to down, the water pressure or flow speed impulse the turbine rotation, turn the gravitational potential energy and kinetic energy to mechanical energy, then the water turbine rotation drive the generator rotation, the mechanical energy would change into electric energy. A power station is mainly composed of retaining building (dam ), flood discharge building (spillway or gate), water diversion building ( diversion channel or tunnel, including surge tank) and power plant (including tailrace and booster station ) etc. The components include hydraulic building, hydraulic machinery and equipment, generation equipment, substation equipment, power distribution equipment, transmission equipment and control & auxiliary equipment.

    Types of Hydro Power Plant

    1. Dam-type hydropower plant

    2. Water diversion power plant

    3. Pumped storage power plant

    Components of Control Equipment

    Microprocessor Excitation Device

    Speed Governor

    Relay Protection

    Synchronization Device

    Automation Device

SCADA ( Computer Monitoring and Control System)

    DC Power Supply System

Most hydro power are built far way from residents, then distribute & transmit power to consumers via substations etc. If interested in more information, you can contact HNAC ( marketing@cshnac.com ) which is in hydro power field for over 24 years.

    Water Management For Economic Development

hi guys today i would like to share with you about hydro electric power .

Flowing water creates energy that can be captured and turned into electricity. ... The most common type of hydroelectric power plant uses a dam on a river to store water in a reservoir. Water released from the reservoir flows through a turbine, spinning it, which in turn activates a generator to produce electricity.
